Exceptions and checks: Weatherization follows an energy inspection; work is chosen for the home's identified conservation and safety needs.
Questions to ask: Which provider serves the county containing the home?; Does categorical eligibility apply to my household?; Is the dwelling eligible and ready for an energy inspection?
Next steps: Use the county weatherization route to find the assigned provider.; Ask for its current income and dwelling checklist.; Submit the application and ask how inspection scheduling works.
Limits: WAP operates across all 75 counties, but eligibility is not a promise of immediate work or a cash grant to the applicant.
